How to play
The goal
Send all 52 cards to the four foundation piles at the top right -- one pile per suit, each
built up in order from the Ace to the King. Get every card home and you have won.
The board
- Eight columns hold the whole deck, face up.
- Four free cells, top left, each hold one card of any kind -- think of freecells as card parking spaces for in-the-way cards so you can move other cards in the table.
- Four foundation piles, top right. Place the entire deck in order from the Ace to the King in its suited foundation pile and you win.
How to move cards
- Drag a card where it should go, or click it and then click its destination. Either works; on a phone, use clicks.
- Double clicking a card will send it to its foundation pile if it is the right card or to an open freecell.
Moving cards
- Onto a column: move one card onto another that is exactly one rank higher and of the opposite color -- a red 6 goes on a black 7.
- An empty column accepts any card.
- Into a free cell: any one card, as long as the cell is empty.
- Onto a foundation pile: the Ace first, then that suit's 2, 3, 4 and so on in order.
-
Several cards at once: move as a group if they already run downward in alternating
colors. Click on the top most card of a group to move it. How many you can move varies; the game shows the current figure at the bottom of the screen as "Max # moveable cards".
-
A card can also be brought back off a foundation pile onto a column or into a free
cell, following the same rules -- anything except an Ace or a 2.
- Double-click a card to send it to its home in its suited foundation pile or to a free cell if it cannot go home yet.
